Cool Thing of the Month

PacSafe

PacSafe
The PacSafe is very clever. Its sole purpose in life is to protect your stuff while you travel. Here's how: when you leave your hotel room, put your camera bag, laptop computer, and personal electronics into the expandable mesh bag, cinch it tight and padlock the hardened cable around a fixed object like a bed frame, radiator, drain pipe, etc. The PacSafe is constructed of lightweight but super-strong stainless steel aircraft cable. Sure, a determined thief with a bolt cutter could defeat it, but most will simply move on to easier targets. It will *absolutely* keep the chambermaids and bell boys from going through your stuff. Comes in several sizes. I got my PacSafe 55 at a good price ($45) from online camping goods supplier www.basegear.com.
